A water boil advisory was announced by health officials on Wednesday, which will affect residents on Garden Drive, Blooming Grove Turnpike from Garden Drive to Willow Lane, Louise Drive, Cherie Lane, Suburban Court and Oakwood Terrace.

The cause of the boil water advisory was not immediately clear on Wednesday. A timetable for when the advisory will be lifted has not been released. The advisory comes slightly more than a month after a previous incident that stemmed from a water main break.

According to officials, “a water boil advisory means that residents in the affected area must boil all tap water at a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute prior to drinking it or using it to prepare food, wash dishes by hand or brush teeth.” Residents have been advised to use bottled water, when possible.
